As a Senior IT Operations Support (24/7), you will be working for our client in the banking/financial services domain, supporting highly available, business-critical applications and the underlying infrastructure. You’ll help ensure stable operations, fast recovery, and measurable service reliability around the clock—by combining strong ITIL practices with deep monitoring and cloud-native resilience.

Your main responsibilities:Run and support 24/7 operations (e.g., NOC/operations/major incident command) and coordinate major incidents to restore services quickly. Execute and improve ITIL processes, with a focus on incident, problem, change, and event management. Maintain high availability and resilience of infrastructure and applications through clustering, load balancing, and redundant architectures. Operate and troubleshoot enterprise Linux/Unix and Windows Server environments in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Ensure monitoring and observability across infrastructure and applications by working with APM/tracing/synthetic checks, centralized logging, and alerting. Define and tune KPIs, alert rules, and dashboards that enable 24/7 teams to detect and resolve issues proactively. Partner with application development and DevOps teams to support resilience patterns such as graceful degradation, retry/circuit-breaker patterns and safe release approaches (e.g., blue/green, canary where applicable). Support service continuity management by translating BCM/DR requirements into technical measures and participating in failover/DR testing plans.

You're ideal for this role if you have:5+ years of IT operations experience in a regulated industry, ideally banking/financial services. Proven experience supporting business-critical, highly available systems and infrastructure. Strong knowledge of ITIL processes (incident, problem, change, event) and practical use in daily operations. Hands-on ability to work with 24/7 shift models (operations/NOC/command center/major incident management). Deep understanding of infrastructure HA/resilience: active/active, active/passive, load balancing, redundant components. Experience with monitoring & observability: infrastructure/system monitoring, application/transaction monitoring, centralized logging, and actionable dashboards. Practical experience with ITSM/ticket tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira or comparable) and integration with monitoring/alerting. Solid cloud operations background with AWS services such as EKS, S3, RDS (PostgreSQL), ECR, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, CloudTrail.

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)ITIL certification. Experience working specifically in banking IT landscapes (e.g., core banking, payments, online banking, integrations with service providers) and their availability/latency requirements. Familiarity with BCM/ISO 22301 or BSI basic protection standards and turning them into technical test plans.
