We are looking for an DBA to join the team of our client - a reference company in banking and financial sector. What will be your main tasks and responsibilities? Install, configure and maintain on-premises database systems (e.g., SQL Server and PostgreSQL)
- Ensure data backup and recovery policies are in place
- Monitor and optimise database performance (tuning and troubleshooting).
- Security and Compliance:Ensure data protection and integrity by implementing best security practices
- Work to ensure compliance with financial sector regulations (e.g., GDPR and ISO 27001)
- Ensure the application of security patches and other updates that contribute to the security and performance of DBMSs.
- Development and Support:Collaborate with Development and Engineering teams to model and structure databases
- Support internal teams with complex SQL queries and troubleshooting issues related to database engine performance
- Monitor database growth and forecast growth requirements
- Help define strategies and implement measures to combat obsolescence through technological modernisation.
Documentation:Create and maintain technical documentation relating to configurations, policies and processes. What is required from you? At least 3 years' proven experience as a DBA
- Advanced knowledge of on-premises SQL Server DBMS management
- Proficiency in SQL scripting and automation tools
- Knowledge of high-availability and resilience strategies (replication, clustering, Always On)
- Experience with Postgres
- Experience in managing performance incidents and database fine-tuning
- Background in Network and Systems Administration (Windows and Linux OS)
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing
- Experience with virtualisation technologies
Knowledge of ISO 27001 standards. In accordance with Directive (EU) 2023/970, the starting basic salary for this role is €40,000 gross per month.
