Senior Business Analyst – Banking Systems & Front Office

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a leading player in the banking sector, committed to transforming financial services through cutting-edge technology. You will play a pivotal role in connecting business needs with technical solutions, enriching the front office systems, and ensuring seamless integration across international teams. Your main responsibilities:Gather, understand, analyze, and translate Front Office user needs into detailed functional specifications.

• Collaborate with development teams to translate these specifications into technical requirements.
• Develop and build test cases
• lead functional testing, especially on PV and Risks impacts.
• Assist in creating automated non-regression tests with developers and release managers.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and qualification testing (integration and regression).
• Contribute to workload estimation and coordinate deployment steps.
• Support production issues through analysis, incident resolution, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• Learn and support the “Summit Software” platform and related IT systems.
• Interact primarily with teams in Paris, with occasional visits to Porto and Paris to meet and integrate the full team.

You're ideal for this role if you have:At least 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in banking, finance, or related fields.

Strong knowledge of Front Office and Middle Office workflows (P&L, OTC trades, IR swaps, CDS, bonds, repos, FX, regulatory reports).

• In-depth understanding of financial products: credit derivatives, interest rate derivatives, FX, Options.

Experience in testing and mapping business processes, especially in booking, valuation, platform, and reporting projects.

• Proficiency in SQL.
• Nice to have: Knowledge of Summit Front Office.
• Fluent communication skills in English (C1 level).
• It is a strong plus if you have:French language skills (B2 level).
• Experience working with international teams and on service-oriented systems.
