As a Senior IT Business Analyst, you will be working for our client in the banking sector, focusing on finance and data governance initiatives. You will help deliver critical solutions that enhance risk data management, regulatory compliance, and data quality, driving strategic growth and operational excellence in financial services.
Your main responsibilities:Lead the analysis and documentation of business requirements for finance and risk data projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions aligned with regulatory standards such as BCBS239.
- Support data governance programs, ensuring adherence to compliance standards and best practices.
- Work closely with technical teams to facilitate data integration, ETL processes, and data warehouse implementations.
- Translate complex business needs into detailed technical specifications for reporting platforms like Power BI.
- Contribute to system improvements by analyzing banking core systems such as SAP, Oracle, Avaloq, or Temenos.
- Assist in the validation and testing of data solutions to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Liaise with stakeholders in a clear, communicative manner to drive project success.
- You're ideal for this role if you have:5+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in the banking sector.
- Strong expertise in finance and accounting domains.
- Hands-on experience with BCBS239, risk data aggregation, regulatory reporting, or data governance programs.
- Experience working with ETL tools, data warehouses, or reporting platforms like Power BI.
- Familiarity with banking core systems such as SAP, Oracle, Avaloq, Temenos, or similar.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on clarity and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, aligned with project goals and deadlines.
It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)Certifications related to business analysis, data management, or banking compliance.
- Additional knowledge of cloud data platforms or advanced analytics.
