Senior Business Analyst – Financial Risk Projects

Unleash strategic innovation in financial risk management — drive impactful decisions as a Senior Business Analyst!Lisbon-based opportunity with hybrid work modelAs a Senior Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a leader in financial services, focusing on the IT Market & Counterparty Risks perimeter in Lisbon. This role offers the chance to influence risk analysis processes and accelerate career growth in a dynamic financial tech environment.

Your main responsibilities:Act as the primary contact for key projects such as Sensitivity for Front Office and New Products in Murex.

• Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and team needs to the Project Manager.

Lead the collection and formalization of business requirements, working closely with Market Risk teams on complex cases.

Translate business needs into clear, detailed functional specifications aligned with project goals and system constraints.

Break down functionalities into manageable tickets for developers, ensuring scope, priorities, and acceptance criteria are well-defined.

• Coordinate and carry out functional testing, including defining test cases and validation processes.
• Organize and execute regression testing to ensure system stability and prevent impacts on existing functionalities.

Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support approximately every 6 weeks, ensuring ongoing system stability and issue resolution.

You're ideal for this role if you have:A minimum of 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar IT project role within financial institutions.

• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with project management throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Academic or professional background in Finance, Market Data, or Risk Management (mandatory).
• Fluency in English — B2 level or higher (both written and oral) — to facilitate meetings with Paris stakeholders.
• Good command of French is a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated and autonomous learner, capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
• It is a strong plus if you have:Certifications related to project management or risk analysis.
• Language required for the role:Fluent English (spoken and written).
